Red tide levels remain elevated

ANNA MARIA ISLAND - At least 50 tons of fish, seaweed and debris have been picked up off Manatee County beaches since the latest episode of red tide started to plague the area.
Dead fish keep washing ashore in varying amounts each day, said parks supervisor Jeff Harnish.
