Red Tide kills 4 dolphins in Volusa County

4 Dead dolphins washed ashore in Volusa county recently. Red Tide exposure hasn’t been confirmed yet by the scientist at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute in Orlando but it certinley appears as that at the moment as the area is afflicted by a sever red tide bloom at the moment and there non other immeditely visible signs of trauma or Illness.

Sadly dozens of sea turtles have been found dead in the area as well.

History teaches us the birds will be next if this red tide bloom is mitigated (destroyed) promptly. Of course we don’t do that here in America for some reason.

    Dear People,

Today on 12/22/2007 in Indian Harbour Beach and I was also in Cocoa Beach Today. Between the hours of 4-8PM, until I went to bed outside is offal, even going to the store to buy “It’s a Wonderful Life” dvd for myself, I found it was hard for me, I coughed, and I don’t do drugs nor smoke cigarettes, or illicit cigarettes; So having said this, the RED TIDE should be a warning to help the older one’s out there on oxygen or other respiratory problems, it may help them if you can put out the word out to help them more. I have been in FL since 1970 and never found it this bad before until this year. Anyway, I hope you can help many people I hope anyway. Merry Christmas, and only comment.

Red Tide Toxin SLAMS a healthy woman on Panama City Beach, Florida and continues to POUND her!

Red tide toxin is responsible for burning the inside of my mother’s airway. She inhaled deeply one day near the shore at Panama City Beach, Florida. When she did, the inside of her lungs burned badly. She was stunned and knew she had done something very bad by breathing this tainted air!

From that point on, my mother took a dive into respiratory distress. She coughed up blood immediately and didn’t stop coughing for weeks. After a biopsy of a chest lymph node, a liter of fluid accumulated around her heart. She almost died then and there. Fortunately, she weathered that storm, but learned that she had a tumor on her right lung…inoperable.

After one chemo treatment, she struggles to keep her breath. She is convinced that red tide is what nearly took her life! Tumor or no tumor, she could not breathe right after the red tide toxin burned her lungs…but no one wants to know about that. No medical personnel want to explore what harmful effect this toxin has had on her now fragile body!

Something is amiss! Red tide toxin is deadly…WHO will listen? WHO will do something about it?
