BP Used too much Dispersants – Congress

Written by Texx Smith

Topics: BP Oil Leak, Rumors

Congress has discovered, just as we reported earlier, BP has been using more than the allowed amounts of chemical dispersants in the Gulf of Mexico.  Further more, just as we reported, this has been done with the approval of the US Coast Guard, and perhaps even their assistance.  Furthermore this is direct violation of at least one federal directive from the EPA limiting their use.  Even worse, Congress is saying out loud that they suspect that they’ve been lied to about the amount of dispersants that were actually used. Why? The records show that more than what the USCG approved was being used and other record “discrepancies”.

There’s been a lot of talk lately about how the oil is harder to find.  The oil companies are putting pseudo-scientists (that work for orgs that receive large grants from BP, like LSU), on the news as “experts” to say that this shows several things which are in fact, fiction:

  • The Oil Leak was never that big of a deal to begin with
  • The crisis is almost over
  • The use of dispersants was a good idea.

In fact the reason why the oil is harder to find is because it’s not on the surface of the water any more (and the dino-flagellates,  have been feeding on them, which means they are more likely to bloom causing further environmental damage). The oil is in the water column and on the sea floor.  This means it will spread even further, do even more damage and be impossible to clean up now.

So when you see them talking their cleverly crafted lies like in the video below; don’t be fooled.  The oil IS still there and the damage will be even worse to the Gulf because of the dispersant use.  And we don’t even know for sure just how bad these poisonous dispersants themselves are yet!

Apparently the oil isn’t even gone for real, just gone from the surface. We’ll be writing on this subject soon.

Its really very sad. Why authorities didn’t check it. It shows developed countries are not particular about important guidelines.

  5. I agree with you Math. This is a very serious since it’s been affecting over different countries. I heard that BP could install a new permanent oil-capture system by late August or early September. I am looking forward on this.

  6. This is really a sad fact. They have taken an immediate solution but I guess, the damage will not be controlled easily. I hope that they can come up with better solutions.

  7. BP Oil leak or Oil Leak in general is one of the hardest disaster that may happen in our country. Greatly affecting the waters of the world is such a big thing including the living creatures under it and and the people near it. Almost all of us have nothing to do but to hope and pray that technology will discover machines that will solve oil leak problems in our waters.

  8. It is not easy to recover from that event. it may be the oil is gone but, building up of the resources just like before is long process… Let’s just keep on believing that it be solve…

I think the oil spill is just horrible in general and it has done so much damage to the world. I read a article somewhere BP are actually hiding up more of their messing by hiding carcass and burning turtle who have been covered with oil. I was horrified when I read that. Somehow it manage to stay of the media radar….
