After calling a South Florida pet store and threatening to set employees on fire, police arrested a man.
According to the arrest report, Jamie Melitana, 66, called the puppies and rescues in Pembroke Pines. He said he was unhappy about the puppies he bought at the store on April 5.
According to this officer, Militana insulted the police officers during the phone call and said he would come to the store to shoot all the employees. I have a gun, and I will. “
According to the report, Melitana made this statement several times before ending the conversation.
Police reported shortly thereafter that Militana’s wife called the store and told her her husband was “just joking”.
The store owner was shocked when he learned of the situation and called the police.
Militana was the only customer to buy two golden puppies in a short investigation this month.
They also admitted that the number they used to threaten them was the same number used to buy the puppies.
Called by police, Militana stated that he was very disappointed and that he had “overreacted” but that he did not have any firearms.
Militana was arrested by the officers and charged with false reporting of an explosive weapon. A Broward County judge set the bond at $15,000.
