According to the Orlando Sentinel, a Florida man has been arrested after he mistakenly thought a 66-year-old tourist with Parkinson’s disease was a car thief.
Kevin Mina, 21, native of Orlando, was charged with battery charge and assembled battery against a person age 65 or older.
Mina was allegedly seen pulling the door handle of an SUV from a shopping center in southern Orange County on Sunday. Mina is seen pushing the victim’s head into the door via video clip. Mina, a 66-year-old man from South Carolina with Parkinson’s disease, mistakenly mistook Mina for his daughter’s car. Her father was found bloodied near the car.
Mina claimed that he believed the victim was trying to steal his jeep. He fled the scene but was soon captured.
