Florida bomb-making expert arrested after threatening to blow up Walt Disney World CEOs
According to information obtained from the authorities, a man from Florida began sending threatening messages to the executives of Walt Disney World on Twitter. He claimed in the letters he sent that he would throw grenades at their homes. After filing complaints, a Florida man was arrested Friday on a threatening charge.
Steve Jordan, 31, who lives in the Seminole area of Pinellas County, began bombing via tweets on August 8. He sent 186 tweets in about three hours. Since the tweets he sent contain a criminal element, he was arrested by law enforcement authorities in the Pinellas area.
Some of the tweets sent during the three-hour period were directed at Walt Disney World. He sent out some tweets like, “We’re going to blow up all the Disney CEOs’ homes with C4.” and “I’m going to throw a grenade through Disney executives’ windows.” Those tweets were deleted in no time.
Steve Jordan didn’t stop there. Because Jordan also sent several threatening tweets to Activision game and its executives, which was in a lot of trouble due to sexual harassment lawsuits that surfaced in the past days.
Jordan’s Twitter account was suspended on August 9. Several officials cooperating with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were able to identify Steve Jordan as the owner of this threatened account. Jordan’s threatening tweets were not limited to the day in question.
He was accused of threatening to throw something, lay it down, and use it to cause destruction. Steve Jordan faced the same charges when he was arrested in 2019 for false bomb threat. Jordan is being held in Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bail as police deepen investigation.
