Gainesville, Florida – Authorities have arrested the man who punched his girlfriend for changing the channel during Super Bowl LV on February 7.
According to the authorities’ report, 55-year-old Thomas White quarreled with his girlfriend to change the channel. The cause of the controversy was the change of channel on which the match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs appeared on screen.
According to a study by Alachua County investigators, White punched his girlfriend in the face. The girl had cuts to her face, nosebleeds, and swelling in her ankles. Authorities also found traces of blood on the wall, according to the WCJB.
White told his deputies that the victim spoke frequently and slapped him. He also shocked the woman during their argument. According to White, he wanted to defend himself, but there were no signs on his body that required defense.
