Florida Man Birthday February 16

MONROE COUNTY, FL (RNN) – Police chased after a man riding a backhoe on a ride on the iconic 7 Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. He threw stones at the police within a 90-minute drive.

Becky Herren, a spokeswoman for the Monroe County sheriff’s office, said the man named Carl Blahnik caused damage to the bridge and roadway.

Blahnik was chased by authorities on February 16 and then fled because he changed direction. However, the authorities lowered the nails on the bridge and arrested the fleeing man.

Karl Blahnik has been charged with various crimes such as vehicle theft, environmental damage, assault with a deadly but not fatal weapon, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.
