According to information provided by the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, a homeless person claiming to be “agent of God” was caught with a rattlesnake while wandering around Jacksonville Beach.
Sergeant Larry Smith told First Coast News that there were a lot of reports of the man carrying the snake. Upon reaching the area, the authorities asked the man to throw the snake towards the car. Police contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. It was said that the captured snake would be released into its natural habitat.
No information has yet been found that the man who wandered with the snake was damaged by the snake. There are 44 species of snakes living in Florida and 6 of them are poisonous. Among the poisonous species there are 3 rattlesnakes: the eastern diamond-backed rattlesnake, the dark pygmy rattlesnake and the woody viper.
