PORT Ritchie, Florida – A Port Ritchie man quarreled with his mother and threw pizza. The man who said he fled the police was arrested on Monday.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Michael Stemple quarreled with his mother. His mother, who asked him to leave the house, said that if he did not leave the house, she would call the police.
When Stempel’s mother wanted to call 911, Stempel picked up the phone and hung up, according to eyewitnesses. Authorities said Stempel threw pizza at his mother and punched her in the stomach after he hung up the phone.
Authorities announced that they had found the fugitive Stemple in Lisa Park Lake. They reported that Stempel, who had fled the police, was tired and surrendered by raising his hands. Later, Stempel denied that he threw pizza at his mother and hit him in the stomach, accusing her of lying.
Stempel was accused of abusing his mother and resisting the police.
