A Florida man hit an Uber driver with an antenna and a stick.
Street. PETERSBURG, Florida: The man who hit an Uber driver with a witness stick, antenna and water bottle on Thursday has been arrested, WFTS reports.
Street. An Uber driver attempted to stop the ride and angered a man named Denzel Johnson, according to a Saint Petersburg police statement. Johnson hit the driver first with a water bottle. Then he broke the antenna in the car and hit the driver. Finally, he hit the driver’s right shoulder with a stick he had bought from an old man.
The Uber driver sustained bruises and injuries after the attack. With the help of the cops, the driver chose Johnson from the photos. Johnson was arrested around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Johnson is accused of aggravated assault and malicious crimes.
