A Florida man tried to board a plane to Orlando with a fake grenade.
Street. The Augustine man was spotted by officers trying to board an Orlando plane with a fake grenade and an uninstalled real rocket launcher.
According to a statement from the Transportation Security Administration, the contents of the bag were disclosed by the Transportation Security Administration’s security system while it was at Lehigh Valley International Airport.
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said on Twitter that the bag contained a fake pistol barrel, sight, trigger and grenade.
According to the man, it is believed that the fake bomb could be carried in a search bag. However, the TSA stated, “It is prohibited to carry fake or real weapons on board aircraft.”
The man, whose prohibited items were confiscated from his bag, continued his journey to Orlando.
