Florida Man Birthday October 5

Florida man kills his brother-in-law during a birthday surprise with a semi-automatic pistol

The accident occurred in Pensacola, Florida. The son-in-law of a Florida man came to Pensacola from Norway to surprise him on his birthday. But during a Christmas surprise, things go wrong. The Florida man accidentally shot and killed his brother-in-law.

Santa Rosa Sheriff Bob Johnson released a statement regarding the murder at a Christmas party. Richard Dennis, 61, lived in his house. He heard a knock on his door around 21:30. Heading toward the door, Dennis heads out to chase after a relative after an unrelated argument.

Dennis’ brother-in-law, Christopher Bergan, came to Gulf Breeze to join Dennis’ other relatives at a birthday party. The 37-year-old’s sole purpose was to surprise his father-in-law on his birthday. However, things did not go as expected. Bergan almost became the unfortunate name for a Christmas surprise.

Dennis started hearing voices again around 11:30 PM. This time, the sounds were coming from the back door, not the front door. Dennis took his .380 semi-automatic pistol with him. Then he turned on the porch light and decided to go out to see who was standing at the back door.

Dennis was outside his door looking for the source of the noise. Meanwhile, Bergan comes out of the bush and makes various sounds to his father-in-law’s surprise. Dennis fired the rifle he had brought with him and shot Bergan. Burgan died at the scene.

When the sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, several people were trying to stop the volcano’s bleeding. In line with a thorough investigation into the accident, it was determined that the shooting was purely a coincidence. Therefore, he learned that no charges would be brought against Dennis.

Sheriff Johnson said he couldn’t predict what Dennis would do after what happened. Johnson reiterated that something happened that should never have happened and that it was an accident. In addition, the sheriff invited other people to pray for this bereaved family so that they could move beyond what they lived through.
