Florida Man September 22 (9/22)

Florida police said the man who killed another man in a parking dispute will not be arrested or arrested.

Michael Drake, 47, was evicted by Marquis McGluckton on Thursday after colliding with his girlfriend in a garage with a disabled person.

Subsequently, Drake was able to shoot Mr. McGluckton the victim in the chest while he was lying in the air.

Police say they did not have to arrest Mr Drake, the suspect, because of a state law that allows them to “stand up” as well as “shoot at first”.

The law provides protection from civil or criminal liability for those asserting self-defense after a violent incident or shooting. “I don’t believe in the law. The law applies,” Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said at a news conference Friday.

“I will enforce this way of writing. Some may disagree about whether or not they prefer it.

He stated that the case will be considered by the attorney general who will decide whether to indict Drake. Drake must be shipped.

The lawyer was required to be able to provide “clear and convincing evidence of this.” [he] “He was not authorized to use violence,” Sharif said.

The footage was captured by an outside surveillance camera in the store. The footage shows McGluckton returning to the building with his hands on his chest.

Eyewitnesses reported that he lost consciousness when buyers called emergency services. He was taken to the emergency room in Clearwater and pronounced dead.

Police say Mr. Drake cooperated upon their arrival and was holding an unregistered concealed weapon license.

The ‘Stand Up Your Stands’ law came into the spotlight after an unarmed teen was shot and killed in 2012. George Zimmerman, a neighborhood ranger, killed Trayvon Martin while returning from a Sanford shopping center.

Florida police were cited for breaking the law when they released Zimmerman without charge that night.

However, more than 480,000 people signed the petition, demanding that the case be brought to justice. He eventually went to trial, but was found not guilty on any charges.
